Payments happen outside the app

Tavena is not a financial institution and does not move real money. This has a major advantage: no complicated linking, no transaction fees, and maximum freedom. You settle the balances in the app and exchange money through your preferred channels.

Whether via PayPal link, bank transfer, or cash – how you settle is up to you. In Tavena, simply mark the settlement as done, and the balance returns to zero. Simple, secure, and flexible.

Who is Tavena for?

For friends, shared apartments, couples, travel groups, and any team that wants to split shared expenses easily and transparently.

Can Tavena transfer money directly?

No. For safety and privacy reasons, Tavena does not move money. You settle debts directly outside the app (e.g., via PayPal or bank transfer) and mark them as paid in the app.

Do all group members need the app?

No. One member can enter all expenses on behalf of others. However, if everyone signs up, they will all see the same synchronized balance in real time.

Are my bank details stored?

No. Tavena does not request bank access and does not store account information. It is a pure expense manager, not a fintech tool.

Is Tavena free?

Yes, Tavena can be used directly in the browser as a web app free of charge. Mobile versions for the App Store and Google Play Store are in preparation.
